How To Use PZAZ
Science Resource Description
Welcome to PZAZ, and thank you for your subscription. This guide is designed to help you maximize the benefits of PZAZ, a science function management system tailored to enhance your teaching experience. Please ensure that this information is shared with all teachers who will be utilizing PZAZ, or alternatively, direct them to the Science Coordinator section on the website for comprehensive guidance.
PZAZ is structured with specific rules to ensure it aligns with the National Curriculum while offering flexibility and depth in science education. Firstly, PZAZ guarantees complete coverage of the curriculum across all year groups, though some units may be sequenced differently to optimize learning conditions, such as studying Plants in Year 3 during the Summer term. Each lesson plan is crafted for a minimum two-week duration to allow for thorough knowledge embedding. The system emphasizes the development of scientific skills through the 'Working Scientifically' videos, focusing on one of the three key skills—Planning, Data, or Evaluation—each term to ensure steady progression. Starting with 'Planning Investigations' is advised, especially if PZAZ is being introduced at the beginning of the academic year. However, the scheme is flexible, and lessons can be adapted to fit any existing school plans, with the numbering system indicating the original order of lesson creation rather than a mandatory sequence.
