Show it! Group presentation - Plants - Year 2

In a dynamic learning experience tailored for Year 2 pupils, the focus is on understanding what plants and trees require to thrive. As part of the curriculum, children are encouraged to actively engage with their newfound knowledge by presenting it to their classmates. These presentations are not only a chance for students to showcase their learning but also serve as a tool to reinforce their understanding of the subject matter. To facilitate this, educators might compile a PowerPoint presentation summarising the ongoing learning, which can then be shared with the entire class for a comprehensive review.

To organise the presentation activity, children are grouped into teams of up to six members. Each group collaborates on a specific topic related to plants and trees, ensuring a diverse range of subjects are covered. Possible presentation topics include exploring the types of trees found locally, methods for determining the age of a tree, the significance of trees for the environment and human life, the essential elements that plants need to prosper, and the characteristics of evergreen trees.
