Grammar Quiz 3

The Y6 Grammar Quiz 3, created by KS2Gems in 2020, is a short and efficient tool for revising grammar concepts previously taught to students. Intended to be completed within 10 minutes at the beginning or end of a lesson, this quiz consists of 10 slides, each presenting a different grammar challenge. The quiz serves as an ideal quick assessment to gauge students' knowledge and understanding of various grammatical elements.

During the quiz, students are prompted to write on their whiteboards in response to various instructions. They are asked to identify common nouns from a given list, such as 'table' and 'witch', and to recognise pronouns in sentences, like 'They' in the example provided. Conjunctions are also to be selected from a set of words, and students are encouraged to construct sentences with two clauses to demonstrate their understanding of statement structure. Additionally, the quiz covers the identification of adverbs within sentences and from a list of words, the naming of proper nouns, determiners, and interjections, as well as pinpointing pronouns from a mixed group of words. This interactive approach helps to reinforce grammatical concepts in a practical and engaging way.
