Cops and robbers - What do you know about the heart?

The "Cops and Robbers" activity is an engaging educational exercise designed to assess and expand students' knowledge about the heart. Initially, pupils are given two minutes to jot down everything they can recall about the heart in the 'Own recalled knowledge' column. This allows them to demonstrate their existing understanding of the heart's function and its crucial role in the human body. The activity is designed to be a fun and interactive way to consolidate learning, with a focus on the heart's anatomy, physiology, and importance to overall health.

Following the initial phase, students enter the 'Cops and Robbers' segment of the activity, where they have 60 seconds to 'steal' information from their peers. They can visit up to three other children to gather additional facts or insights that they didn't initially remember, and then add these to the 'Stolen knowledge' column on their own table. Each plausible statement they gather is worth two points. The activity is structured to encourage collaboration and sharing of knowledge, as well as to promote active learning through a playful approach. In total, the activity is designed to last 15 minutes, providing a dynamic and interactive way for students to learn about the heart and its vital functions.
