Cops and robbers - What do you know about the circulatory system?

The "Cops and Robbers" activity is an engaging educational exercise designed to test and expand students' knowledge of the circulatory system. Initially, pupils are given two minutes to jot down everything they can recall about the heart and its functions on their own. This phase encourages them to draw upon their existing understanding of the circulatory system, tapping into their memory to retrieve relevant information.

Following this, the activity takes a collaborative turn, where students are given 60 seconds to 'steal' knowledge from their peers. They can visit up to three other classmates to read their answers and add any new information they gather to their own notes. This part of the exercise not only makes learning interactive but also promotes knowledge sharing among students. Each plausible statement written down scores two points, incentivising students to recall and share accurate information. The activity is designed to last 15 minutes and serves as an effective way to reinforce and expand their understanding of the heart's role within the circulatory system.
