Show it! Group presentation - Space - Year 5

In an interactive and engaging Year 5 group presentation activity focused on space, students are encouraged to showcase their knowledge about the Sun, Earth, Moon, and the planets. Towards the end of their learning journey, children have the chance to present their findings and understandings to their classmates. This presentation not only reinforces their learning but also helps to develop their public speaking and collaboration skills. The presentations can be carried out in various formats, and sometimes, the teaching staff may facilitate the process by creating a PowerPoint presentation that encapsulates the ongoing learning and sharing it with the entire class.

To organize the presentation, students are divided into small groups, with no more than six members per group, to ensure everyone has an active role. Each group is tasked with focusing on a particular aspect of their space studies, specifically Component 5, which involves dividing the class into 'planet groups'. These groups will then work together to create and deliver a presentation about what they have learned regarding the Sun, Earth, Moon, and the planets. The presentations are expected to be informative and creative, starting with an introduction like "Good Morning, I would like to tell you about …", which sets the stage for sharing their insights and discoveries with their peers.
