Cops and Robbers - What do you know about the winter? - Seasonal Change - Year 1

In a Year 1 classroom, a creative and interactive activity titled "Cops and Robbers" is set up to engage children in recalling and sharing their knowledge about winter, as part of a lesson on seasonal change. The activity begins by giving pupils two minutes to independently write down everything they can remember about winter in the 'Own recalled knowledge' column of their table. This initial phase encourages them to draw upon their personal experiences and understanding of the season.

Following this, the 'robbery' phase of the activity commences, where pupils have 60 seconds to 'steal' ideas from their peers. Each child is allowed to look at up to three other classmates' answers and add any new information they gather to the 'Stolen knowledge' column on the right side of their table.
