SATS papers - Science 2004 Test B
Science Resource Description
The Science 2004 Test B is part of the Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) that are administered in the United Kingdom to assess the educational attainment of students at the end of Key Stage 2. These tests are designed to measure students' understanding and knowledge of scientific concepts that they have been taught during their primary school years. The structure of the test includes a variety of questions that may cover different areas of the science curriculum, such as life processes and living things, materials and their properties, and physical processes. The aim is to evaluate the students' ability to apply scientific principles to various problems and scenarios.
Once students have completed the Science 2004 Test B, they are encouraged to check their answers, ensuring that they have responded to all questions. The tests are sourced from an official repository and come with a set of mark schemes, which are used by educators to assess the students' performance accurately. The results of the SATs are used to inform both teachers and parents of a child's academic progress and to identify areas where further support may be needed. The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), which was responsible for maintaining and developing the national curriculum and associated assessments, provided these assessments in 2004, with their key stage 2 team based in London.
