Hours Digit Cards
Maths Resource Description
Hours Digit Cards are a practical educational resource designed to aid in the teaching and learning of time and numerical sequencing. The cards present a series of hours, starting from 1 hour and progressing incrementally up to 100 hours. They are arranged in rows, with each row displaying a sequence of four hours, increasing by one hour from left to right. For example, the first row displays '1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours' and this pattern continues, with each subsequent row beginning with the next consecutive hour.
The Hours Digit Cards extend beyond the typical 24-hour format, offering a broader range of hours that go up to 100 hours, and then leap to larger increments such as 120, 180, 240 hours, and so on, up to 780 hours. This allows learners to explore and understand the concept of time in larger blocks, facilitating the development of skills in calculating durations and understanding the passage of time over extended periods. The cards are visually structured to help students easily identify and work with these hour increments, making them a versatile tool for educators to use in various mathematical and time-related exercises.
