Testing Materials - Objectives Labels
Science Resource Description
In Lesson 1.5 on Waterproof and Absorbent Materials, students are set to explore a range of common materials that they encounter in their daily lives. The objectives for the lesson include identifying and naming materials such as wood, plastic, glass, metal, water, and rock. Students will also learn to compare and categorize these materials based on their simple physical properties. Additionally, they will be taught to describe these properties and understand the distinction between an object and the material it is made from.
To assess their understanding, students will be asked to connect the physical features of materials to their properties and to suggest appropriate materials for creating objects based on these properties. This approach aims to reinforce their knowledge of materials' characteristics and practical applications. The lesson is structured to encourage critical thinking and to provide a clear method for the students to recognise their learning progress through specific questions and objectives.
