Trampolining Award Scheme
Physical Education Resource Description
The Trampolining Award Scheme offers a structured progression for pupils to develop their trampolining skills, with each level presenting a series of manoeuvres to master. At Award Level 6, participants are expected to perform a variety of seat drops with half twists to feet, full twists, front drops, pike jumps, and a forward roll. These foundational skills are ticked off by the instructor as the pupil successfully completes each one, ensuring they have achieved the required proficiency before moving on to the next level.
Moving up to Award Level 7, the complexity of the skills increases. Pupils are challenged with half twists to seat drops, the swivel hips manoeuvre, back drops, and combinations that involve hands and knees bouncing with turnovers. As the pupils advance to Award Level 8, they must demonstrate seamless transitions between seat and front drops, perform half twists to front drops, and execute back bounces. Award Level 9 further escalates the difficulty with sequences that include back and front drops, turnovers, and seat drops with a full twist. Finally, at the pinnacle of the scheme, Award Level 10, participants showcase their expertise with a series of intricate moves such as back drops with half twists, forward turnovers with tuck and extension, full twist drops, and front or back somersaults, marking their completion of the award scheme.
