Asking grandparents questions

Delving into the pastimes of yesteryears, students are embarking on an intriguing project to explore the toys their grandparents enjoyed during their childhood. The task involves forming groups of four and collaboratively crafting a set of 10 thoughtful questions aimed at uncovering the playthings of a bygone era. These questions will prompt grandparents to reminisce about their youthful days and the toys that sparked their imaginations.

Once each group has honed their questions, they will exchange ideas with another group to refine their inquiry further, ultimately agreeing on a final set of 10 questions. These will then be presented to the entire class for discussion and expansion into a comprehensive list of 15 questions. This list will form the backbone of a questionnaire that students will take home, inviting their grandparents to provide written responses and, if possible, share photographs of their cherished toys. Upon receiving the completed questionnaires, the groups will reconvene to analyse and discuss the insights provided by the grandparents, painting a vivid picture of the playtime experiences from generations past.
