Determiners SATs Style Questions
English Resource Description
KS2Gems has crafted a series of SATs style questions specifically targeting the understanding and identification of determiners within sentences. This set of five questions is designed to mimic the format of past SATs papers, providing a valuable resource for both teachers and students. The questions serve as an excellent tool for both assessing knowledge and facilitating retrieval practice at the start of a lesson. Each question is followed by an answer slide to allow for immediate feedback and clarification.
The first question asks students to identify three determiners in a given sentence about Matilda and her search for books. The second question requires students to determine the word class of underlined words in a sentence describing Simone's journey. In the third question, students are challenged to pinpoint four determiners within a sentence concerning Monty and a jewel theft. The fourth and fifth questions present multiple sentences, tasking students with identifying which ones contain determiners. These questions not only test students' ability to recognise determiners but also help reinforce their understanding of how determiners function within the context of a sentence.
