Brightstorm - Session 7 - Word Workshop

Brightstorm's Session 7 of the Word Workshop is an engaging exercise that invites students to deepen their understanding of vocabulary through various activities. For each word provided, students are asked to explore its meaning(s) and use it in a sentence to demonstrate comprehension. They are then challenged to modify the word by adding prefixes, suffixes, changing its number or tense, thus expanding their grammatical skills. Additionally, they are required to identify synonyms—words with similar meanings—to enhance their ability to express ideas with varied language.

The workshop also encourages students to think critically about language by identifying antonyms—words with opposite meanings.
