Composition objectives include organising paragraphs around a theme, using organisational devices like headings, and creating narratives with settings, characters, and plots. Grammar and punctuation skills are further developed with a focus on using fronted adverbials, extending sentence structures with multiple clauses, and employing conjunctions, adverbs, and prepositions to express time and cause. The plan culminates in students discussing captivating language, identifying main ideas across paragraphs, summarising content, and retelling stories, all while refining their use of complex sentence structures and cohesive devices.
