Medium Term Plan - Dance - Year 2

The medium-term dance plan for Year 2 students at Key Stage 1 spans across six lessons with the intent of exploring basic body movements, understanding how to match movements to music, and performing sequences. The children will learn to express themselves using different parts of the body and a variety of gestures, while also understanding the impact of exercise on their feelings and the importance of following instructions. They will gain knowledge in replicating movements to music, timing, and performing set sequences to an audience. Skills developed will include gestures, expression, travel, jumps, and turns.
