Max Maths, Year 1, Try it, 3D shapes

In the 'Max Maths, Year 1' activity focused on 3D shapes, young learners are encouraged to engage with geometry in a hands-on and interactive way. The 'Let's Try It' section of the lesson is designed to help students become familiar with identifying and naming different 3D shapes. The first task involves looking at six different sets, labelled Set A through to Set F, each containing one or more 3D shapes. Students are asked to name the 3D shape found in each set, which could include common shapes such as cubes, spheres, cones, cylinders, pyramids, or prisms.

The second part of the activity presents a challenge where students must determine which set a given 3D shape belongs to. This task reinforces their understanding of shape properties and helps them make connections between similar shapes.
