Fractions Target Boards

The 'Y5 Fractions Target Boards' are an educational resource aimed at enhancing Year 5 students' proficiency in various aspects of fractions. The objectives of these boards are multifaceted and include comparing and ordering fractions with denominators that are multiples of the same number, identifying and writing equivalent fractions, and understanding the visual representation of fractions, particularly tenths and hundredths. Additionally, students learn to recognise and convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions, express mathematical statements greater than one as a mixed number, and perform addition and subtraction of fractions with the same or compatible denominators.
