Ten a Day 12 Times Table
Maths Resource Description
The "Ten a Day" programme presents a structured approach to mastering the 12 times table, offering a daily practice routine for students. Each weekday, a column of ten multiplication problems is provided, with the goal of completing them within a minute. The exercises are designed to reinforce the students' recall and fluency in multiplying numbers by 12. The layout includes space for the date and the student's name, followed by a series of multiplication equations ranging from '1 x 12' to '12 x 12', with the order of the equations varying each day to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the times table.
The programme is divided into two sets, "Ten a Day 1" and "Ten a Day 2", each with its own sequence of multiplication problems for Monday through Friday. At the end of each day's column, there's an opportunity for students to record their score out of ten, allowing both students and teachers to track progress over the week. The exercises are designed by KS2Gems in 2020, specifically targeting Key Stage 2 learners, to build confidence and speed in their multiplication skills through regular and varied practice. This methodical approach to learning the 12 times table is an excellent way for students to become proficient and quick at these essential calculations.
