8 Times Tables - What's left
Maths Resource Description
"What's Left?" is an engaging board game designed to help players practice their 8 times tables in a fun and interactive way. Each player requires a counter and a 1 to 6 sided die to participate. The game features a specially designed "What's Left? Board – 8s" with a series of numbers that players will navigate by rolling the dice and moving their counter accordingly. The objective of each turn is to divide the number landed on by eight and score points based on the remainder of this division. For example, if a player lands on the number 34, they would calculate 34 ÷ 8, which equals 4 with a remainder of 2, scoring them 2 points for that turn.
The aim of the game is to accumulate the highest score possible. Victory is achieved by the player who has the highest score at the moment the first player crosses the finish line on the board. The board layout includes a variety of numbers, such as 15, 34, and 52, all the way to the finish line, with the start line featuring numbers like 86, 79, and 91. "What's Left?" is an excellent tool for children to become more familiar with division and remainders, all while reinforcing their knowledge of the 8 times tables. This game is part of the "Get The Buzz Games For Tables" collection, created by Buzzard Publishing.
