5 Times Tables - What's Left
Maths Resource Description
"What's Left?" is an engaging board game designed to help players practice their 5 times tables in a fun and interactive way. Each player requires a counter and a dice numbered 1 to 6 to participate. The game includes a specially designed "What's Left? Board – 5s" which features a series of numbers that players will navigate through. The objective of the game is to roll the dice, move the corresponding number of spaces on the board, and then divide the number you land on by five. The key to scoring points is to calculate the remainder after division. For instance, if a player lands on the number 31, they would work out that 31 divided by 5 is 6 with a remainder of 1, thus scoring 1 point for that turn.
The competition heats up as players aim to accumulate the highest score to win the game. Victory is determined when the first player crosses the finish line; at that moment, the player with the most points is declared the winner. The board features a variety of numbers, from lower values like 11 and 17 to higher ones such as 56 and 59, providing ample opportunity for players to test their division and multiplication skills. This game, created by Buzzard Publishing and part of the "Get The Buzz Games For Tables" collection, is not only educational but also an enjoyable way for children and adults alike to reinforce their knowledge of the 5 times tables.
