4 Times Tables - What's Left
Maths Resource Description
"What's Left?" is a fun and educational board game designed to help players practice their 4 times tables in an interactive way. Each player needs a counter and a single dice with numbers ranging from 1 to 6. The game is played on a specially designed "What's Left? Board – 4s" which features a series of numbers that players will navigate by rolling the dice and moving their counter accordingly. The objective of the game is to divide the number you land on by four and score points based on the remainder of this division.
For example, if a player lands on the number 25, they would calculate 25 divided by 4. Since 6 multiplied by 4 equals 24, the division would result in 6 with a remainder of 1. The player would then score 1 point for that turn. Gameplay continues with players taking turns to roll the dice and move up the board, each time calculating the remainder after dividing their landing number by four and scoring accordingly. The goal is to accumulate the highest score, and the winner is declared when the first player crosses the finish line. This game not only reinforces multiplication skills but also introduces basic division and the concept of remainders in a competitive and enjoyable setting.
