3 Times Tables - What's Left
Maths Resource Description
"What's Left?" is an engaging board game designed to help players practice their 3 times tables in a fun and interactive way. Each player needs a counter and a die that has numbers from 1 to 6. The game is played on a specially designed board with a series of numbers that are all relevant to the 3 times table challenge. Players take turns to roll the die and progress along the board according to the number they roll.
Upon landing on a number, the player must divide it by three and calculate the remainder. For example, if a player lands on the number 13, they would work out that 13 divided by 3 is 4 with a remainder of 1. The remainder is the player's score for that turn, so in this case, they would score 1 point. The objective of the game is to accumulate the highest score possible. Victory is claimed by the player who has the highest score at the moment when the first player crosses the finish line. The game is not only a test of multiplication and division skills but also a strategic challenge as players aim to land on numbers that will give them the best remainders and highest scores.
