Percentage Plotting

Percentage Plotting is an engaging educational game designed to help learners grasp the concept of finding percentages of numbers. To participate in this game, players will require a dice numbered from 0 to 9 and a blank number line ranging from 0 to 15. The objective of the game is to enhance the player's ability to calculate percentages in a fun and interactive manner.

The gameplay involves players taking turns to roll the dice to generate a two-digit number. Once a number is thrown, such as 48, players must decide whether they want to calculate 5%, 10%, or 15% of that number. For example, 10% of 48 is 4.8, making 5% half of that, which is 2.4. The result is then plotted on the blank number line. The game is won by the first player who successfully plots four of their calculated percentages on the number line without any of their opponent's points interrupting their sequence. Throughout the game, players are encouraged to discuss and utilise the strategy of finding 10% of a number by simply dividing it by 10, which serves as a helpful reference point for calculating the other percentages required to win the game.
