The game "10s to 100" is an engaging educational activity designed to teach children how to add multiples of ten to reach a total of one hundred. To play the game, participants will need a set of dice labelled with multiples of ten or a standard 0-9 dice, a Tens board, and some counters for marking their progress. The aim of the game is to throw the dice and land on a multiple of ten, such as 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, or 90. Should a player roll a 0, they must roll again as the objective is to accumulate a sum of 100.

During each turn, players calculate the additional amount needed to reach 100 and then place a counter on the corresponding number on the Tens board. For example, if a player rolls a 40, they would then cover the number 60 on the board. The game continues with players taking turns, and the first to align four of their counters in a row—be it horizontally, vertically, or diagonally—wins the game. This game not only helps reinforce basic addition skills but also encourages players to notice the relationship between number facts that make 10 and those that make 100, such as understanding that if 3 plus 7 equals 10, then similarly, 30 plus 70 equals 100.
