The Chase - Rainforests

The 'Chase Game' is an interactive and educational game where pairs of players compete to become the 'Rainforest Champion'. To start the game, two teams begin at the designated starting point, usually marked 'The Chase Game'. Players take turns to ask each other questions from a set of cards related to rainforests. For each correct answer, the team moves down one space on the game board, which features various layers of the rainforest, such as the Emergent Layer, Canopy, Understory, and Forest Floor. The goal is to be the first pair to reach the end of the board and earn the title of 'Rainforest Champion', which rewards the winners with 5 points.

The game also offers a strategic twist for more confident players who may choose to give their opponents a head start by letting them begin one or two places ahead. This added challenge increases the stakes, as overcoming the head start and still winning the game results in additional points for the victors. For example, if the opposing team starts at 'Emergent 1' and the challenging team manages to reach the finish line first, they score not just the standard 5 points but an extra point for each space they had to catch up, making a total of 6 points. This game not only makes learning about rainforests fun but also encourages strategic thinking and a competitive spirit.
