Where are some of the main airports in the world? - Presentation

In an educational presentation, students are invited to explore the locations of some of the world's major airports. This exploration serves as a practical geography lesson, where students use an atlas and a globe to identify the bustling hubs of international air travel. The activity is designed to illustrate the global connectivity provided by air transportation, highlighting how airports facilitate travel to almost any destination worldwide.

Students work in pairs to find a selection of the world's busiest airports on a world map. The airports listed include Dubai International Airport, Heathrow Airport in London, Changi Airport in Singapore, Tokyo's airports, John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, Miami International Airport, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Moscow's airports, Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, and Istanbul Airport. After locating these airports on an atlas, the students are then asked to repeat the exercise using a globe, offering a three-dimensional perspective on the geographic spread of these major transport hubs.
