Play A Sound Game ‘Zap’ To Reinforce Three Letter Words (4-7 years) - Activity Pack
English Resource Description
Embark on a delightful adventure with the 'Zap' sound game, an engaging activity pack designed for children aged 4-7 years to reinforce their understanding of three-letter words. The premise of the game is to help Zoggy, a character who has found himself lost in a rainstorm, to discover a rainbow. Players are tasked with clearing away the rain clouds and bringing out the sun by identifying as many genuine three-letter words as they can from the provided cards.
The game set includes a variety of word cards, a spinner, and space crafts, which children can assemble with simple materials like lolly sticks, a butterfly clip, paper clip, and tape. To play, a child selects a word card and reads the word aloud. They then use their 'zap pointer' to cover the first letter and spin the arrow to find a new letter that could potentially form a new word when substituted. The child reads the newly formed word and decides whether it's a real word or a nonsensical one. All real words are recorded on a sheet, and finding twelve helps Zoggy reach the rainbow, adding an element of fun and achievement to the learning process.
