The "Y4 Grammar Quiz 2" is a short, concise assessment tool created by KS2Gems in 2020, aimed at revising grammar concepts with Year 4 students. This quiz comprises 10 slides, each presenting a different task that requires students to write specific grammatical constructions on their whiteboards. The quiz is designed to be a quick activity, taking no more than 10 minutes, and can be conveniently administered at either the beginning or the end of a lesson. It serves as an ideal method for teachers to quickly gauge their students' understanding and retention of previously taught grammar content.

During the quiz, students are prompted to write a variety of grammatical elements. These include two questions, two noun phrases, and three exclamations, which test their ability to construct sentences with correct punctuation and structure. Students are also asked to identify and write three adverbs, two conjunctions, and three prepositions, which assesses their knowledge of parts of speech. In addition, the quiz challenges students to write four proper nouns, ensuring they understand the importance of capitalisation. The final slides require students to compose a sentence with one clause, a sentence in the simple past tense, and two possessive pronouns.
