Extinction - Objectives Labels
Science Resource Description
In the educational module titled "Lesson 4.12 Extinction," students are set to engage with the dynamic nature of environments and the potential risks these changes can pose to various forms of life. The objective for the learners is to cultivate an understanding of how living organisms can be impacted by alterations in their habitats. The lesson aims to equip students with the ability to recognise environmental shifts and comprehend the threats they can present to living organisms.
To assess the acquisition of this knowledge, students will be prompted to answer a series of questions. These questions are designed to test their ability to identify different natural phenomena that play a role in transforming landscapes, both terrestrial and marine. Additionally, students will be asked to articulate the reasons why abrupt environmental changes can have detrimental effects on living organisms. Through this interactive approach, the lesson seeks to ensure that students not only learn about the concept of extinction but also develop a deeper awareness of its causes and consequences.
