Max Maths, Year 3, Try it, Months of the year (2)
Maths Resource Description
As part of the Max Maths curriculum for Year 3, students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of the calendar by focusing on the number of days in each month. In the exercise titled "Months of the year (2)," students are tasked with writing down the number of days for each month listed, such as September, January, April, and October, among others. This activity not only helps to reinforce their knowledge of the months but also aids in their ability to recall and associate specific numerical values with each segment of the year.
The "Let's Practise" section provides a series of sentences for students to complete, which further cements their grasp of the calendar year. They are prompted to fill in the blanks with the correct number of days typically found in February, the number of days in February during a leap year, the total number of days in a leap year, and to identify the subsequent leap year following 2036. These exercises are designed to be both informative and engaging, encouraging students to apply what they've learned. For additional practice and resources, students are directed to workbook pages 202 to 204.
