Cops and robbers - How much do you know about the Ancient Greeks?

In an engaging classroom activity titled 'Cops and Robbers', pupils are encouraged to explore their knowledge of the Ancient Greeks in a dynamic and interactive way. The exercise begins with students sitting in groups of four, where each pupil is given two minutes to jot down everything they can recall about the Ancient Greeks on the left side of a chart. This initial step allows students to independently reflect on their own understanding and memory of the topic.

Following this personal recall, each pupil is then allotted 60 seconds to review the contributions made by their peers. The aim here is to identify any new information that they have not yet recorded themselves. This 'stolen knowledge' is then added to a designated section on the chart, enabling each student to expand their understanding of the subject by learning from others. The activity is designed to be a quick-paced and collaborative learning experience, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete. Points are awarded for each piece of information listed, incentivizing pupils to share and acquire as much knowledge as possible about the contributions of the Ancient Greeks to the world.
