Show it! Group presentation - Seaside study - Year 2

In a Year 2 seaside study, children are encouraged to explore the question, "Why do we like to be beside the seaside?" As part of their learning journey, they have the opportunity to present their findings and insights to their classmates. This presentation can take various forms, ensuring that the children can express their learning in creative and engaging ways. Towards the end of the learning period, children should be given the chance to showcase what they have learned about the seaside, with the possibility of the staff supporting the process by preparing a PowerPoint presentation to highlight the ongoing learning.

To facilitate this sharing of knowledge, children are advised to work in small groups, with a maximum of six members in each. These groups can then select a specific topic related to the seaside theme for their presentation. The topics available for exploration include lifeboats, lighthouses, rock pools, UK seaside resorts, and the features of a seaside resort. By focusing on one of these areas, the children can delve deeper into the subject matter and present their topic with enthusiasm and a sense of ownership. The presentation might begin with a cheerful greeting, such as "Good Morning," followed by an introduction to the topic they are excited to share with their peers.
