In Session 12 of "Darwin's Dragons," the dragon's eggs are securely stored inside the treasure chest in the sickbay. Darwin considers blowing or preserving the eggs, while Covington wishes to leave them on the Galapagos Islands to hatch naturally. Upon reuniting with Farthing, Covington feels happy and comforted, his confidence bolstered. A sharp eggshell fragment in his foot leads him to deduce that another egg may have already hatched, as the eight eggs he saved are intact. Darwin, skeptical of Covington's dragon sighting, advises keeping the tale secret. Covington, however, hopes for the eggs to hatch to validate his claims of the dragon's existence.
