Long and Short Vowels is designed to help Year 3 / Year 4 children establish their knowledge of long and short vowel forms. The resource is made up of a PowerPoint presentation with two accompanying worksheets. It includes a detailed explanation of long and short vowels, a few examples to help clarify meaning and three consolidation activities to asses understanding. Although 'Long and Short Vowels' is designed with lower KS2 children in mind, it can easily be tweaked for use with other learners.
