Kites used to generate electricity

A group of German scientists are studying ways to harness wind energy from high-flying stunt kites. The higher the altitude, the stronger and more reliable wind energy becomes. In a test run conducted this month, scientists attached large stunt kites to trains that were fitted with energy convertors. The kites captured wind energy from up to 500 meters above ground, then converted the kinetic energy into electricity.
