Dance - Lesson 3

In the third lesson of the Nursery dance series, young learners are encouraged to combine physical movement with early educational concepts by using ribbons to trace numbers, letters, and shapes. The main part of the lesson involves children exploring movements with ribbons, followed by the teacher guiding them to use the ribbons to practice writing numbers, letters, and drawing shapes. For those who find it challenging, the teacher can provide outlines on the floor with masking tape for the children to trace over with their ribbons. The lesson concludes with a cool-down where the children mimic trees in a windstorm, starting with vigorous movement that gradually slows to stillness, preparing them to end the session calmly.
