The Explorer - Session 15 - Word Workshop

The "Word Workshop" from "The Explorer - Session 15" is an educational activity designed to enhance vocabulary skills among KS2 students. Participants are tasked with exploring a variety of words through multiple exercises. Each word is to be understood in terms of its meaning(s), used in a sentence, and modified by adding prefixes, suffixes, or by changing its grammatical form. Additionally, students are encouraged to identify synonyms and antonyms, deepening their comprehension of each word's use and its context within the English language.

Words such as 'extension', 'definitely', 'vicious', 'stern', 'territory', 'banish', 'mutinous', 'ascent', 'apology', 'retreated', 'agonising', 'incline', 'triumph', 'illusion', and 'rough-hewn' are included in the workshop. For each word, students are expected to determine its word class, which could range from nouns and verbs to adjectives and adverbs.
