Year 5 / Year 6 English Teaching Resources: Common Word Endings (PowerPoint and 3 worksheets). Our Common Word Endings teaching resource is designed to help KS2 pupils develop knowledge of the common word endings 'our', 'ure', 'er', 'ar' 'or', 're' and 'ur'. The resource is made up of an editable 19-slide PowerPoint presentation and three worksheets. It includes a clear explanation of the importance of learning common word endings, a few examples and three consolidation activities to assess children's understanding. Although it is designed with KS2 pupils in mind, 'Common Word Endings' can be easily adapted for use with other learners.
