This English teaching resource has been designed to cover the year 1 curriculum objective listed above. It enables teachers to evaluate spelling in the context of sentences using words taken from the Kindergarten list of statutory spellings.     The resource includes: 4-page dictation worksheet booklet with a list of the Kindergarten statutory spellings 49 dictation sentences - all of which contain the statutory spellings 63 slide PowerPoint presentation to explain the task and assess pupils; understanding. The resource includes enough dictation spellings to cover the whole academic year. Exercises are split into Autumn Term, Spring Term and Summer Term as can be seen in the PowerPoint .
