Animals - Living Non Living

In this educational content, we are distinguishing between living and non-living entities by observing their characteristics. Living things, such as the proboscis monkey, dog, clownfish, black mamba, aardvark, tree, cactus, Nile crocodile, bullfrog, and tortoise, exhibit key life processes that define them as alive. These processes include breathing, eating, growing, and reproducing. Each of these animals and plants carries out these functions in their own unique ways, but the presence of these activities is what classifies them as living organisms.

On the other hand, non-living items such as a rock, bin, chair, and fire do not possess the qualities of life. These objects do not breathe, eat, grow, or have the ability to reproduce. They may have their own important uses or roles in the environment, but they do not exhibit the biological processes that are characteristic of life. This clear distinction helps us understand the fundamental differences between living and non-living things in the world around us.
