In this Key Stage 2 (KS2) lesson on - Is the refugee crisis over, Ahead of Refugee Week, students explore the 2014-2019 European Refugee Crisis and what the situation is in the UK today.
4. Should education be a priority in a crisis
In this Key Stage 2 (KS2) lesson on - Should education be a priority in a crisis, Students learn about the ongoing war in Yemen and its impact on young people's right to education.
5. Should the UK do more to support Afghanistan
In this Key Stage 2 (KS2) lesson on - Should the UK do more to support Afghanistan, Voters explore the current situation in Afghanistan, and consider the UK's response. In the assembly, they explore what the UN is and some of the work it does worldwide.
6. Ukrainian refugee scheme
In this Key Stage 2 (KS2) lesson on - Ukrainian refugee scheme, In light of the recent Homes for Ukraine programme and its uptake in the UK, voters assess whether something similar could be effective for refugees from other parts of the world and what is currently in place. Meanwhile in the assembly, voters revisit the Ukraine conflict and hear about some of the individuals who have taken action.
