In the fourth lesson of Week 9, the focus is on reviewing the graphemes and , consolidating the students' understanding of these phonetic elements. The objective of the day is to revisit both the week's graphemes and some previously learned ones. The lesson begins with a 'Quickdash Words' activity where words containing the target graphemes are written on the board, each accompanied by sound buttons and bars. These visual aids assist the children in decoding the words phoneme by phoneme as a class, enhancing their phonetic fluency.

The 'Teach' segment of the lesson involves writing the graphemes and on one side of the board, while pictophones representing these sounds are placed on the other side. Students are encouraged to draw lines connecting each grapheme to the phonemes it represents, with linked to words such as Ant, Ape, Ox, Ark, and Organ, and connected to Ear, Aircraft, and Earth. In the 'Practise' part, children engage in a 'Word Match' game where they use Yes/No flashcards to determine if pairs of words, like bear/bore or heard/hard, are matches.
