Move in 2's - Football
Physical Education Resource Description
The "Move in 2's" football drill is a simple yet effective exercise aimed at improving consecutive passing skills among pupils. The primary objective of the activity is for students to successfully complete a series of passes with varying partners, thereby enhancing their ability to cooperate and communicate on the pitch. Each pair of students is provided with a single football to share between them for the duration of the drill.
The rules of the drill are straightforward. Pupils are required to pass the ball back and forth over a short distance of approximately 2 to 3 metres. The passing continues uninterrupted between the two partners until the instructor or coach issues a "change" command. Upon hearing this command, the pupil currently in possession of the ball must swiftly turn and find a new partner to start the passing sequence anew. This exercise not only promotes ball control and precision but also encourages alertness and quick thinking as students must be ready to adapt to a new partner at a moment's notice.
