If you have 16 litres and want to convert it to millilitres, you multiply 16 by 1,000, giving you 16,000 ml, which means 16 l equals 16,000 ml. Lastly, the lesson covers converting metres to millimetres, where again, multiplication by 1,000 is used. Converting 5 metres to millimetres is done by multiplying 5 by 1,000, resulting in 5,000 mm, so 5 m is the same as 5,000 mm.
