The Max Maths workbook for Year 3 includes a section dedicated to the review of volume units. Practice 9 is designed to reinforce students' understanding of measuring liquids in millilitres and litres. The first exercise prompts students to identify which containers hold more than 1 litre of liquid by ticking the appropriate boxes. The final task is a conversion exercise where students are required to convert litres to millilitres and vice versa. They are given various volumes such as 5 litres, 7 litres, 10 litres, and combinations of litres and millilitres (e.g., 2 l 300 ml, 1 l 650 ml), and they must convert these into either millilitres or a combination of litres and millilitres, as appropriate. This exercise helps students practice and understand the relationship between the two units of volume measurement.
