Step 100 is a mathematical game designed to teach children the fundamentals of counting in increments of hundreds, tens, and ones. To participate in this engaging learning activity, players will need a set of dice numbered from 0 to 9. The objective of the game is to develop an understanding of numerical sequences and place value by creating and counting towards a three-digit target number.

Players take turns rolling the dice to establish their unique target number, such as 368, and then proceed to count towards this number from either 0 or 1000, using the most efficient combination of steps in hundreds, tens, and ones. For example, starting from 0, a player would count in hundreds up to 300, then in tens to 360, followed by individual steps to reach 368. The process is reversed when counting down from 1000. The game encourages strategic thinking as players aim to reach their target number in the fewest steps possible, scoring points for efficiency. The winner is determined after five rounds, with the player having the lowest total number of steps declared the victor.
