100s, 10s and 1s - Year 3 Year 3 -; Number - number and place value recognise the place value of each digit in a three-digit number (hundreds, tens, ones) identify, represent and estimate numbers using different representations read and write numbers up to 1000 in numerals and in words In this Maths teaching resource, pupils are introduced to 3-digit numbers and begin to understand that they are made up of 100s, 10s and 1s. They identify numbers in different representations on a place value chart and write them in numerals.
