Craft Pack - Make A Television Set (4 years +) - Activity Pack
English Resource Description
Unleash your child's creativity with our delightful Craft Pack, designed for children aged 4 years and up. This activity pack provides an engaging project that allows kids to construct their very own Television Set and produce a TV Show. To begin, children will need to source an old carton or box, such as one that previously held cereal or chocolates. They can then paint this box in their favourite colour, transforming it into the base of their TV set. Next, they'll cut a large square hole on the front side of the box to create the screen, and two rectangular holes on the sides to simulate speakers.
Once the basic structure is ready, it's time to add some flair! Children can decorate their TV set by adding imaginative knobs and buttons to make it look authentic. The next step involves creating the 'broadcast content' for their show. By sticking two A4 pieces of paper together, they can create a canvas for their background scene. Children can paint a country landscape or any other scene they fancy. To bring their show to life, they can cut out pictures of countryside animals or any other thematic elements from old magazines and newspapers, or even draw their own. These images are then affixed onto the background scene. The completed picture is then inserted through the box, creating a moving image on the 'TV screen' as it's pulled through. For added variety, children can make different backdrops and stories, such as a coastal television show, to keep the entertainment rolling.
