Grammar Quiz 4

The KS2Gems 2020 Year 5 Grammar Quiz 4 is a quick, ten-minute assessment tool designed to help teachers gauge their students' understanding of grammar concepts previously taught. Comprising 10 slides, the quiz prompts students to write responses on their whiteboards, covering various grammatical structures. It's an effective way to start or end a lesson, offering a snapshot of each student's grasp of the material and helping to identify areas that may need further reinforcement.

Each slide of the quiz challenges students to demonstrate their knowledge of different aspects of grammar. They are asked to write three coordinating conjunctions, craft sentences that begin with a subordinate clause, include a relative clause, contain an expanded noun phrase, or feature a fronted adverbial. Additionally, students must show their understanding of punctuation and sentence structure by writing sentences that include a hyphenated word, use brackets, or contain a modal verb.
